This article details the changes that will happen to Kaltura videos when they are migrated from the Building Block integration to the LTI 1.3 integration.
This migration is being performed due to the deprecation of the building block at the Blackboard platform level. Additionally, only Kaltura videos embedded with the LTI 1.3 integration are compatible with Ultra view courses, so this change is being made in preemptive support of the University’s migration to the new course view.
All Kaltura videos will remain in courses, and no data loss is expected. However, your videos that displayed an embedded video player will turn into links with Kaltura icons, as shown in the screenshot below.
If you wish to re-add Kaltura media with the embedded player, the steps to do so are outlined below.

Re-Adding Kaltura Media with Embedded Player

In a Content area in your course, navigate to Build Content.
Select Item.
From the text box in the Content Information section, select the encircled plus sign. (If not already completed, select the ellipsis to show the second line of options.)
From the Add Content list, select Kaltura Embed Media 1.3.
A new window will load with the option to select a video that is listed in your My Media tab. Click on the Embed button to select the video you would like to add.
The player will now appear in the Item’s text-editor box.
Click Submit when finished. The video with media-player will now appear in the content area.
