Overview

iClicker Cloud polling can be run in-person or remotely.

• In-person iClicker polling can be run from a UConn classroom computer or from an instructor’s laptop.

  • All UConn classroom computers have the iClicker Cloud application installed, and polling can be run via the iClicker Cloud desktop shortcut.

  • If you plan to run iClicker polling from your external laptop, you will need to download and install the iClicker Cloud software to your device.

    • When using a laptop, if any students will be using the iClicker Remote 2 to participate in the polling

• • • , be sure to bring an iClicker base to connect to the laptop. To receive an iClicker base, please email edtech@uconn.edu

    • If all students are using the iClicker Student app, the base is not needed.

• Remote iClicker polling can be run from the instructor’s computer.

  • You will need to download and install the iClicker Cloud software to your device.

  • To participate remotely all students will need to use the iClicker student App.

1. Open the iClicker Cloud application.

2. Hover your mouse over the course and click Start Class.

3. Click Poll.

4. Open your presentation software, which will also display the polling questions on a slide.

5. When you open a slide with a polling question, click the green Play button for multiple-choice questions or click the drop-down arrow to the right of Multiple Choice and select your question type.

6. Press stop once students have responded.

7. Optionally, show the results or continue with your presentation.

8. Click the arrow to go back to the original menu

9. Click End to close the application once the class is complete.
