To call a university extension number: Dial # then 5-digit extension number.

To call an external phone number: Dial the 10-digit telephone number.

To call Emergency services: Dial 911.

Place a Call

To place a call using the handset:

...

  1. Press the Hold button.

  2. Press the New Call softkey.

  3. Dial the number.

Answer a Call

To answer an incoming call using the handset:

...

  1. Confirm that you are not in an active call.

  2. Press the Pick Up softkey.

Decline a Call

To immediately forward a ringing call to voicemail, press the Decline softkey.

End a Call

To end a call, you can:

  • Replace the handset OR

  • Press the Headset button OR

  • Press the End Call softkey OR

  • Press the Release button.

Hold a Call

To place a call on hold:

  • Press the Hold button.

  • Press the flashing line button.

Transfer a Call

To transfer a call:

  1. Press the Transfer button.

  2. Dial the extension or telephone number.

...

  1. Press the Transfer button.

  2. Dial * then 5-digit extension.

  3. Press the Transfer button or softkey or hangup.

Conference Calls

To place up to an 8-way conference call:

  1. Press the Conference button.

  2. Dial the next participant.

  3. Press the Conference button again.

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 for each additional participant.

  1. Use the navigation pad to navigate to the participant you wish to remove.

  2. Press the Remove softkey.

Forward All Incoming Calls to Another Number

To immediately forward all your incoming calls to another number,

  1. Confirm that you are not in an active call.

  2. Press the Forward All softkey.

  3. Dial the extension or telephone number you wish to forward calls to.

Forward All Incoming Calls to Voicemail

  1. Confirm that you are not in an active call.

  2. Press the Fwd All softkey.

  3. Press the Messages button.

Deactivate Call Forwarding

Press the Fwd Off softkey.

Programmable Line and Feature buttons

Buttons illuminate to indicate status:

  • Solid green:Active call.

  • Flashing green:Held call.

  • Flashing amber:Incoming call.

  • Solid red:Shared line in use.

Softkey buttons

Navigation panel and Select button

Image of a circular button that can be pressed in 5 different locations.  The center of the circular button is blank.  Press this for the select function.  The outer rim of the circular button is marked by four dots located at the top, bottom, left, and right of the circle.  Press these for the navigation function.

The Navigation panel and Select button allows you to scroll through menus, highlight items, and select the highlighted item.

While not engaged in an active call, press:

  • The Up option to display your recent call list.

  • The Down option to display your programmed speed dials.

Hold button

Conference button

Transfer button

Speakerphone button

Activates (solid green) or deactivates the speakerphone.

Headset button

Activates (solid green) or deactivates the user-provided headset.

Mute button

Deactivates (solid red) and reactivates the microphone.

Keypad

Allows you to dial phone numbers, enter letters, and select menu items that are numerically numbered.

Volume buttons

Adjusts the phone’s ringer volume while on-hook and the handset, speakerphone, and headset volumes while off-hook.
