  1. Open File Explorer and click on the Computer tab on the left sidebar of the window, and then click on the Computer tab at the top.

  2. Click Map Network Drive from the drop-down menu.

  3. At the Map Network Drive window, select the drive letter you would like to use and input the folder path.

    • For ITS-managed drives, use the drive letter Q.

    • For ITS-managed drives, type this folder path: \\grove.ad.uconn.edu\EFS .
      (warning) Note:If you are mapping this drive on a machine that is not bound to the Active Directory (including non-UConn or personal computers) or logged in as a user who may not have specific access to map the drive, you may need to select Connect using different credentials before clicking Finish. You will get the Windows Security login prompt; enter UCONN with a backslash ( \ )followed by your NetID credentials that have access to the drive (e.g., UCONN\abc12345).

  4. Enter the appropriate credentials and press OK.

  5. Restart the computer. Windows should automatically connect your mapped drive. The network drive should be visible in Computer > Network Location > File explorer.
