When you are using a Webex room, you may want to keep the meeting private and prevent others from inadvertently joining. To keep the Room secure, use the Room Lock feature. All UConn classroom/department Personal Rooms begin in an unlocked state. On the contrary, the Personal Rooms of students, faculty, and staff begin in a locked state.
The Room Lock is global, this means meaning it bars all entry regardless of who the participant is.
If a participant drops out, possibly due to poor Wi-Fi on their end, you will have to re-admit them.

There are two ways to Lock your Meeting while it is in session.
The pop-up button:
While in the Meeting, move your cursor across the window so that the buttons appear along the bottom of the Meeting window.
Click on the button with three vertical dots. The button is next to the red Hang Up button
Click on the Lock meeting option.
The menu option:
Click on the Meeting menu along the top toolbar.
Click on the Lock meeting option.

The icon in the upper right-hand corner indicates a locked Meeting.
Repeat these steps to Unlock unlock the Meeting.
