Overview

  • All Webex recordings that are saved to the cloud will have an automatic transcript generated for them.
  • A Webex recording will only begin to process once the Meeting has concluded. Once the recording has finished processing and is viewable, the transcript generation process will begin. You should expect the transcript generation period be as long as twice the duration of the video. This means that if you have an hour-long recording, you should expect the transcript to finish generating 2 hours after the recording is viewable online.

Consequently, the time stamps will prevent the auto-alignment form working correctly.  If you have many lines of text and find that manually removing the timestamps would not be possible, please reach out to avt@uconn.edu with "transcript edit" in the subject. This IT department has a computer script that autonomously removes all the timestamps from the file within a minuteContinue below to learn how to edit the downloaded transcript.
