For residents of rooms that do have a new access point, your room will instead feature a new wireless access point, installed above the existing wall jack. The device will look like a small white box, as shown in the image below.

If your room has a new access point installed, the the ports on the old jack may be blocked. This is deliberate, and is meant to prevent further use of the old jack. |
Rather than connecting your Ethernet cable to the wall jack, you will be connecting it to the new wireless access point. The Ethernet port is located at the bottom of the device, and has a green tab underneath it, as shown below:
