Students, faculty, and staff can add and delete subscribers through both the Listserv site and by emailing Listserv. All methods of adding /removing subscribers are listed below to accommodate personal preference. Adding a Subscriber

Through the Listserv Site

  1. Go to listserv.uconn.edu and select Log In in the upper right.
  2. Enter your login information. 
  3. Click on the List Management menu.
  4. Click on Subscriber Management.
  5. Choose a list to perform the operations on.
  6. Under the "Single Subscriber" tab enter the email and name of the desired subscriber in the the "Add New Subscriber search box (lower box).

  7. Choose whether or not to let the user know about their new subscription to the list.
  8. Click on the Add to (ListName) button.

Adding a Subscriber by Emailing Listserv

  1. Create a new email to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.UCONN.EDU

  2. Leave the subject blank
  3. Enter in the body of the email this command, filled in with the respective information: ADD listname net@address Firstname Lastname
    1. Example: ADD testlist-L joe.jones@UConn.edu Joe Jones

  4. Wait for Listserv to send a confirmation email your email account
  5. Reply to the confirmation email with “OK” or click the confirmation link sent by Listserv.

Removing a Subscriber through the Listserv Site

  1. Click on the List Management menu.

  2. Click on Subscriber Management.
  3. Choose a list to perform the operations on.
  4. Enter the email of the desired subscriber in the Examine or Delete Subscription search box.

  5. Click on the Search button.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Delete.

Removing a Subscriber by Emailing Listserv

  1. Create a new email to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.UCONN.EDU.
    • The email account used to sign into Listserv should be the same email account you use to perform this operation.
  2. Leave the subject blank.
  3. Enter in the body of the email this command: DEL listname net@address.
  4. listserv_name email_address@example.com Firstname Lastname

  5. Wait for Listserv to send a confirmation email your email account.
  6. Reply to the confirmation email with “OK” or click the confirmation link sent by Listserv.
