This article is intended for instructors looking to learn about batch edits, or editing content en masse.
Making Batch Edits
Batch edit allows instructors to edit multiple pieces of content such as assignments, documents, modules, and folders all at once. Instructors can change the visibility date and due date of content if applicable. In addition, instructors can delete multiple pieces of content at once as well.
Open Husky CT Ultra Course
Navigate to Course Content and click on the ellipses next to the search icon
Select Batch Edit in the new popup
Here you are able to select the content which you would like to edit
Then you are able to make edits using the options in the bottom right, edit dates, edit visibility, and delete items
Changing Dates
Edit dates allows you to change the due date of content if applicable, i.e. assignments or assessments.
Select Edit dates
You can select the dropdown box to change how you would like to alter the dates.
You are able to change an active date by the number of days, based on when the course starts, or if you would like a specific date/and or time.
Changing a date to a specific date and/or time also allows you to change display dates.
In addition, dates for individual content can be selected by clicking on the calendar icon.
Here you are able to edit the the show/hide date, the due date, as well as the visibility.
Editing Visibility
Editing the visibility can show or hide content without the use of a display date.
Select the items you would like to edit
Select Edit visibility
Change the visibility to hidden or visible and click save.
The visibility will then change as indicated by the hidden or visible icons
Deleting Items
Deleting items from batch edit allows multiple items to be permanently deleted at once.
Select items to be deleted.
Select Delete items
Click Delete
