Definition/Usage

The student's academic career, as defined in PeopleSoft Student Administration, serves to organize the coursework undertaken by students. It records the academic career to which the student's program belongs, allowing for the management of multiple academic careers, whether they occur consecutively or concurrently.

UGRD = undergraduate

GRAD = graduate

PHMD = Pharmacy MD

RHAG = Ratcliffe Hicks

NDEG = non-degree

NOCR = non-credit

MED = medical

DENT = dental

  • Students have the opportunity to enroll in multiple career paths concurrently. For instance, they might be pursuing two graduate (GRAD) careers simultaneously, such as a master's in social work and a master's in public health.
