Your Nexus account includes a standard GPA calculation tool that you can use to monitor your academic progress and determine how your performance in current courses may factor into your cumulative GPA. This GPA calculator is designed as a student resource and is for unofficial use only.

To calculate your cumulative GPA:

  1. Log into Nexus with your NetID and password at nexus.uconn.edu.

  2. Click GPA Calculators from your Nexus homepage.

  3. Click Add a Class and enter the name of a class, your actual or expected grade, its number of credits, and the semester it was taken.

  4. Click Add another class to continue entering classes into the calculator. Once you have entered all of the courses you wish to include in your calculation, click Back to calculator.

The calculated cumulative GPA is displayed. Click on a course’s name to edit its details or delete it from the calculator.

Set GPA Goals in Nexus

If you are interested in raising your GPA, you can use the GPA Goal Setter: a tool in your Nexus account that lists various ways you can reach a desired GPA based on your current one.

Once you have calculated your cumulative GPA using the Nexus GPA calculator, you can use the GPA Goal Setter

To use the GPA Goal Setter:

  1. Log into Nexus with your NetID and password at nexus.uconn.edu.

  2. Click GPA Calculators from your Nexus homepage.

    1. If you haven’t already, use the GPA calculator to determine your cumulative GPA.

  3. Click the link to Try our GPA Goal Setter.

  4. Enter your desired cumulative GPA and click Calculate.

Various ways to reach your desired GPA, dependent on the number of credits left in your plan of study, are displayed. For more academic support, reach out to your advisor to discuss resources available to you.
