Creating Breakout Groups in Class Collaborate

This article guides instructors through creating Breakout Groups when hosting Class Collaborate sessions on HuskyCT. Breakout Groups allow instructors to divide a class into smaller groups. Within these groups, students can complete assignment or discuss class content in a smaller setting.

Creating Breakout Groups in HuskyCT:

  2. Once the Class Collaborate session has begun, click to open the Collaborate panel.

    3. Main Room: The Main Room is where the whole group Class Collaborate session is held. Once Breakout Groups are ended, students return back to the Main Room. All members that are within the session will appear on this tab. To move them to a group, click the three dots, then select the desired group.
