Upgrades Coming to Blackboard! (For Instructors)

Blackboard is continuing to make upgrades and edits to Ultra based on user feedback. This page is intended to provide instructors with updates regarding the changes coming to Ultra. This page will be updated frequently, so please check back frequently!

New Features:

• Course Assistant: Instructors will be able to create automated feedback for students based on specified scores. Send congratulatory messages to acknowledge high scores and send supportive messages to encourage improvement.

  • Feedback Reminders: Instructors can now create automated messages that remind students when they have not viewed feedback. A default message is provided, but instructors can fully customize the message to suit their needs.

• Block Stacking in Documents: In documents, instructors will not be able to create cleaner layouts while also reducing whitespace using a new block layout. Items within the document can be resized, moved, and deleted.

• Achievement Badge Notifications: Students will now receive a count icon when they have unread badges. Creating a more efficient way for instructors to engage with their students.

• Video Studio: Students will now have the ability to download the recordings they crafted on Video Studio. This will allow students to record when connectivity may be a concern, or when videos are needed for future use.
