Homework/Problem Set Assignment on Gradescope
Instructors can create a Homework / Problem Set Assignment on Gradescope. Students would complete the problems and show their work on paper to then be upload to Gradescope.
Creating a Homework / Problem Set Assignment:
To begin, create a Gradescope Assignment through HuskyCT.
From the Gradescope ‘Create Assignment’ page, select Bubble Sheet. Click Next.
Fill in the Required Fields
Assignment Name: Create a title for the Bubble Sheet Assignment. The name of the assignment will appear within the HuskyCT Course Content Page and the Gradebook.
Template: Upload the Homework / Problem Assignment in PDF form
Submission Anonymization: Instructors can enable anonymous grading which will hide any identifiable student information.
Who will Upload Submissions?: Submissions can be uploaded by Instructors or Students. As a default, Homework / Problem sets are set to student submission. It an instructor chooses to complete the submissions, many options below will not appear.
Release and Due Date: Provide students with a timeframe on when the assignment needs to be completed and uploaded. Instructors can allow late submission and enforce time limits.
Submission Type: Variable length allows students to submit multiple pages of work, along with identifying where their answers are. Selecting Templated allows students to submit their answers is specific locations (Ex. worksheets).
Groups Submissions: Allow students to work and submit in groups.
Create your Rubric: Instructors have an option to complete a rubric (answer key) before students submit, or while grading.
Rubric Permissions: Identify who will be editing the rubrics.
Template Visibility: Indicate whether students can view and download the template provided.
Click Create Assignment.
Next create the Outline.
