Overview

The Groups feature in Blackboard Ultra allows instructors to organize students into smaller groups for collaboration, assignments, and discussions. Groups can be created manually or automatically, and each group gets a private space with tools like file sharing and discussions.

Each group has a private space with access to discussions, file sharing, and collaboration tools. This space is only visible to group members and instructors.

Yes. You can manually move students between groups or edit group membership at any time through the group management page.

Instructors need to manually assign new students to a group. Students who drop are removed from their groups automatically.

Instructors can access each group’s workspace to view participation, submitted work, and contributions to discussions.
