Getting Started with Boomi

We recommend that you first gain a baseline understanding of Boomi and then request access to the ITS offering.

Training with Boomi

  1. Getting a baseline understanding of Boomi begins with signing up for a Boomi Training account. When you go to train.boomi.com, please be sure to use a valid @uconn.edu email account when signing up

  2. Complete the basic training needed to effectively use Boomi (Overview of Boomi Training and Certification). At a minimum, to use this ITS service offering for integrations complete:

  • Getting Started with the Boomi Atom Sphere Platform (approx. 30 minutes)

  • Integration Essentials (approx. 2 hours)

  • Associate Integration Developer (approx. 4 hours)

  • Acquire a Boomi Associate Developer Certification

Subaccount Administrators should also

  • Complete the Associate Administration Course (approx. 3 hours)

  • Acquire a Boomi Associate Administrator Certification

Account Access

You first need to request an account. Boomi at UConn is organized into subaccounts that represent functional IT groups or teams. Send a message to the Technology Support Center (techsupport@uconn.edu) requesting access and specifying the functional team (listed below) for your project. If you have questions, please reach out to the contact for the subaccount.

You will be contacted when your account is ready. Each functional team has individual development standards to follow when working in that specific subaccount. Be familiar with these team standards before starting to work in the UConn Private Atom Cloud.
