Dropping Courses at classes.uconn.edu
During the enrollment appointment timeframe (i.e., "pick time"), students can drop a class in which they are currently enrolled in the Student Administration System.
You may drop a course in the system through the second week of the semester. After the second week, all drops are done in the Registrar's Office in accordance with catalog regulations. If you drop a course after the second week of the semester, a 'W' for withdrawal is recorded on your transcript. (Please be advised, students from the School of Law should consult their academic calendar for drop dates as they differ from these posted deadlines.)
Navigate to http://classes.uconn.edu.
Select Login and enter your credentials.
Once logged in, Welcome, [your name] will appear in place of the Login option.
Make sure the term for which you would like to drop a course is selected in the Search Classes panel.
Then, select Primary Cart, which will open your Cart Contents for that term.
In the Cart Contents panel, select the course that you would like to drop. In this example, we will drop ANTH 1006.
On the Class Details page, select the Drop button. There may be multiple Drop button options. Either one can be selected.
The Cart Contents panel will display with the pending drop transaction indicated with a red minus iconon the section(s).
This transaction is still pending. You have NOT yet dropped the class(es).
Select Go to Registration to process the drop.
A Registration panel will open asking you to review your registration selections.
Make sure the changes you would like to make are selected and choose Submit Registration.
The transaction(s) may take a few moments.
Once completed, the Registration Results panel will display and indicate the results of the registration transaction(s). Review the results.
Successful drops should display with a green checkmark icon.
If the Registration Results show an error, this indicates that the transaction you attempted was not successful. The corresponding error message will indicate the reason the transaction did not process and help you determine a corrective course of action.
If you select Back to Cart, the class(es) should be removed from your enrolled sections in your Cart Contents.
