Swapping Courses at classes.uconn.edu
Students can use the Swap function when they do not wish to drop a course from their schedule until a new course has been successfully added.
Navigate to http://classes.uconn.edu.
Select Login and enter your credentials.
Once logged in, Welcome, [your name] will appear in place of the Login option.
To swap a class, you will need to:
find the new class you would like to add to your schedule
then identify the course currently on your schedule that you would like to drop.
Enter or select search criteria in the Search Classes panel to find the class that you would like to swap into or add to your schedule.
Select Search.

Once you have identified the class you would like to add, select Add to Cart.
When asked ‘Which Cart’, choose Primary. Select OK.
On the Registration Options panel, use the Swap This With option to select the class you would like to drop in place of the new class. Select other Registration Options, if applicable.
Select Save Changes.
The Cart Contents panel will display with the pending swap transaction:
The class that will be removed from your schedule should have red minus and yellow warning icons
.
The class that will be added to your schedule should have blue cart and yellow warning icons
.
This transaction is still pending. You have NOT yet swapped these courses.
Select Go to Registration to complete the swap transaction.
A Registration panel will open asking you to review your registration selections.
Make sure the changes you would like to make are selected and choose Submit Registration.
The transaction(s) may take a few moments.
Once completed, the Registration Results panel will display and indicate the results of the registration transactions. Review the results.
Successful transactions should display with a green checkmark icon .
If the Registration Results show an error, this indicates that the transaction you attempted was not successful. The corresponding error message will indicate the reason the transaction did not process and help you determine a corrective course of action.
