Accessing a Microsoft Team Created by a UConn User (for UConn Health Users)
This article explains what UConn Health users need to do when they are added to a Microsoft Team created by a UConn user and cannot immediately see the team or its content.
What to Expect:
If a UConn user creates a Microsoft Team and adds a UConn Health user:
The UConn Health user will not see the team right away
The team belongs to the UConn organization, not UConn Health
To view the team and its files, the UConn Health user must switch organizations in Microsoft Teams.
How UConn Health Users can Access the Team
Open Microsoft Teams
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner
Choose University of Connecticut
Wait for Teams to reload
Open Teams and locate the shared team
Activity in other accounts and Orgs
In the bottom-left corner of Microsoft Teams, you can select the bell icon to view activity in other organizations. If there is activity, you can switch to the appropriate organization directly from there.
Important Notes:
Teams content depends on the organization currently selected in Microsoft Teams. Switching organizations may be required to view certain teams or files.
Files and messages will not appear while signed into UConn Health
