Wi-Fi in Gampel Pavilion

Wi-Fi in Gampel Pavilion

Various Wi-Fi networks are available in Gampel Pavilion for different user groups. Please select your user group below for specific instructions for your user group.

Two Wi-Fi networks are provided by UConn for:

  • Patrons attending events within Gampel

  • Vendors and contractors working events within Gampel (excluding ticketing/point-of-sale devices)

  • Guests during times an event is not held

#Huskies_Guest-Fastest

#Huskies_Guest

#Huskies_Guest-Fastest

#Huskies_Guest

  • Intended for patrons within Gampel using devices made since ~2023

  • Use this network if you see it as an option to connect to

  • Supports the 6GHz Wi-Fi frequency for best performance

  • Uses OWE encryption

  • Intended for patrons within Gampel who are using devices made before ~2023

  • For devices that cannot connect to #Huskies_Guest-Fastest

  • Supports the 5GHz frequency only

  • Does not provide encryption

After connecting to the guest network, a captive portal prompting you to accept the UConn Acceptable Use Policy will appear either in a new window or upon browsing to a Web page in your browser. Select “Yes, I agree” to accept the Acceptable Use Policy and you will be granted Internet access.

This access will be maintained as long as your device remains connected to the network. If your device disconnects from the network for longer than six hours (such as if it is turned off or leaves campus), the captive portal will expire and you will need to reconnect to the network and accept the Acceptable Use Policy again to restore access.

Other Wi-Fi networks seen in the Gampel bowl are not intended for patrons to use. These include Athletics_Secure, PACIOLAN, UCONN-SECURE, UCONN-GUEST, and eduroam.
