Changing Privacy Settings of a Group
Owners of a group can manage its settings and permission. This article explains how to make a group either private or public.
If a group is public, anyone at UConn can add to, edit, and delete the contents. This is a potential security concern. If a group contains sensitive information and unauthorized access is not prevented, it could be the cause of a data leak.
If you intend to have a public group, verify that the data within it are not confidential or protected.
If a group is connected to a team, owners can change the privacy settings for a team in Groups. You can also update the settings in Teams.
