Connecting to a Printer from an Intune-enrolled Windows Computer
This article is intended for users with Intune-enrolled machines who wish to connect to on-campus, network printers.
Intune-enrolled computers work differently than most Windows computers. Click here to figure out if your computer is Intune-enrolled or not. If your computer is not Intune-enrolled, please refer to this article.
Adding Printer on Intune-Managed Machine
Navigate to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices
Click Printers & scanners
Click the blue Add Device button
You will be prompted to sign in to your work or school account, click Sign In to find printer
When prompted, select your UConn Microsoft Account, which is the email you use when signing into the machine.
After logging in, click Search for Devices
You will be prompted to select where you want to search for devices from, click the drop-down that says USB or Network and select Work or School
Look for the printer you want to add, you will see the name and the location
Click Add Device next to the printer
The printer will add and you will see a progress bar
Once the printer is added, you will see the printer appear in the list of printers as Ready
The print driver for Universal Print Printers will appear as Universal Print Class Driver, do not change this driver as it will break the connection.
