Teams Meeting Recap
Students, faculty, and staff may access the “Recap” of a meeting they attended if the meeting was recorded or transcribed. The “recap” will include details such as the recording, transcript, and meeting attendees.
Privacy Consent: When you begin recording a Teams meeting, the camera and microphone of participants will be muted until they consent to being recorded. If they do not consent, they will remain in the meeting with their camera and microphone disabled. They may use the Chat to communicate.
Standard vs Premium Recap
The standard recap visible to all attendees will show the:
transcription
recording (if it was recorded)
AI summary (meeting must be longer than 5 minutes)

The available recap with a Teams Premium license

Setup
Ensure that the meeting is recorded.
View Recap after Meeting
When the meeting concludes, you will receive a new message in the meeting’s Chat thread notifying you of the available recap. Note that the fully recap may still be processing.
After your meeting is complete, click on the Chat thread from your meeting.
You will see an autogenerated message about the Recap. Click on this message to view the Recap.
