Scheduling Time Off in Bookings

Employees will need time off when they are sick, on vacation, or unavailable for other reasons. You can schedule time off from the Microsoft Bookings calendar, and then the employee will be unavailable for bookings during the specified time. Time off can also be scheduled for the entire staff list on days that they are closed.

Scheduling Employee Time Off

  1. In Microsoft 365, select the app launcher, and then select Bookings.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Calendar > Time Off.

  3. Fill in the details, including a title, start and end date, location, and any additional notes. If the employee will be gone for full day or for several days, select All day event.

  4. Select the staff member who is taking time off. You can also select multiple staff members at once if desired.

  5. Select Save.

Scheduling Time Off for All Staff Members

  1. In Microsoft 365, select the app launcher, and then select Bookings.

  2. In the navigation pane, select Calendar > Time Off.

  3. Fill in the details, including a title, start and end date, location, and any additional notes.

  4. Select All day event.

  5. Select all staff members.

  6. Select Save.

When a customer attempts to schedule on a day the office is closed, they will see this message on the booking page.
