Modify Windows Pro or Home to Enterprise Edition

Faculty, students, and staff with University-owned computers can (1) change their installed version of Windows 10 or 11 to the Enterprise edition, and (2) activate their Windows license against UConn license servers.

Certain Windows features can only be enabled when using the Enterprise version of Windows. Other versions, such as Professional or Home, can be modified without needing to fully reinstall the operating system.

This process will remove your activation key and change your installed version of Windows to Enterprise edition. You need to properly re-activate your Windows license against UConn Key Management Servers, and you will need access to University Networks to retain a valid Windows installation going forward.
