Hangouts Meet
Hangouts Meet is a video-conferencing tool that is available to all UConn faculty, staff, and students through G Suite. This tool enables you to host video meetings on your chosen device for up to 250 people and is integrated with the tools in G Suite, allowing you to send meeting invitations from Gmail and Google calendar and save recorded meetings to Google Drive.
To create Hangouts meetings, faculty and staff need a UConn G Suite account. You can join meetings with a non-University account, but you cannot create them.
The record Meet feature is removed from our subscription from January 9th 2022. The record meet feature was initially provided as an add on feature due to pandemic.
