Google Drive

UConn faculty, staff, and students have access to the collaboration and productivity tools in Google Workspace.

Google Workspace services will move to Microsoft 365 in 2024. In preparation for this move and to comply with our current contact with Google, there are key changes to this service:

  • Google Workspace accounts will have a 15GB storage limit. This was applied for accounts under 15GB on October 4th. Accounts over this limit will have it applied by the end of the December 2023.

  • Although faculty and staff may continue to use their UConn Google Drive until their data is migrated and the service discontinued in spring/summer of 2024, new accounts can longer be created.

Google Drive is a cloud-hosted storage option. Through our agreement with Google, faculty, staff, and students have unlimited storage. With Google Drive, you can store files open or edit them from any device using Google Drive.
