Imagine

Microsoft Imagine (formerly known as Dreamspark) is a service that provides free software for student, faculty, and staff use. Accounts for Imagine do not authenticate with your NetID and are created by request only. Students may request access for themselves and faculty/staff members may request access for their entire class/department/program/project/etc. 

How to request access as a student

  1. Visit the 'Request an account' page and complete the form. 
    1. Use your UConn email in the Email field
    2. Enter 'Requesting access' in the Issue Description field
  2. You will receive an email confirming your request. 
  3. Within 24 business hours you will receive an email confirming your account or requesting additional information.
  4. You will receive an email with a link to complete your registration. Follow the link to set your password and login.

How to request access as a faculty or staff member

  1. Visit the 'Request an account' page and complete the form. 
    1. Use your UConn email for the Email field.
    2. In the Issue Description field, describe who you are requesting access for.
      1. For a class, please include the subject, course number, and section.
      2. For a department or program, please provide the department or program's name.
      3. For a project or individuals, please include each user's UConn email address.
  2. You will receive an email confirming your request. 
  3. Accounts will be generated within 24 business hours of your request submission. 
  4. A registration link will be sent to each user.
