Gradescope was chosen as the new solution for bubble sheets due to its increased convenience for instructors and its modern feature set.

Yes! We are still in the pilot phase, but welcome your feedback. We suggest starting small, with a low-impact quiz. Gradescope bubble sheets are fully integrated into HuskyCT.
Here’s what you need to get started:
Printer and 8.5x11” paper to print the exam templates.
Scanner to scan the exam submissions to email or directly to a computer. Most department-owned Xerox machines have this functionality.
Documentation on the Gradescope system is still being developed, so check back here for more information! If you have any questions or feedback about Gradescope bubble sheets, please email techsupport@uconn.edu. |
ITS still provides support to the Scantron exam scanning system on the Storrs and Hartford campuses. We intend to retire Scantron after the conclusion of the Spring 2025 semester and provide Gradescope as our official bubble sheet solution going forward.
We are monitoring current usage of Scantron and are providing updates to its current users.
To begin administering paper exams through Gradescope, use the following articles to guide your process. If you want assistance getting started, please reach out to techsupport@uconn.edu. We can help you through the creation and grading of your exam, as well as answer any questions you have about the service.
