"Webex Events (classic)" has been replaced by "Webex Events". This transition was automatic, however Events that were scheduled before this change have not been, and cannot be, converted to the new platform.
Do not forward the confirmation emails, please read:
- Webex Events is a great option for hosting seminars/events and delivering content to many people remotely.
- Use Webex Events when the presentation is one-way. In other words, there is no, or very limited, vocal audience participation.
- An Event can have up to 1,000 participants.
- Learn how to Live-Stream to a larger audience: Webex Live-Streaming
- Webex Events is web-based so there is no need for a VPN and do not use a Remote Desktop Connection.
- The audience may use Chat and Q&A.
- Panelists, Cohosts, and the Host may make use of the Practice Session.

- With the New Webex Events (June 2021),
- there is just one join link for both Panelists and Attendees.
- panelists and attendees may join using the Web App ("join from browser"); no download required.
- it is very easy to lock your Event behind UConn NetID Login.
- Automatic recording is now available (disables Automatic Practice Session).
- Automatic Practice Session in the beginning of the Event is now available (disables Automatic Recording).

Concurrent Session Limit
Users may schedule up to 5 concurrent sessions. Both Webex Meetings and Webex Events count towards this quota.
