When receiving unwanted robo-calls or spam calls, there are ways to deal with them.
Numerous University phone lines can experience waves of receiving spam calls, even though UConn is on the Do Not Call registry. These incidences have been reported to the FTC.
Unfortunately UConn doesn’t have the ability to block specific numbers, so these unwanted calls can't be prevented.
Per the FTC, if you get a sales call or an illegal robo-call, just hang up! Don't interact in any way. Don't press buttons to be taken off the call list or to talk to a live person, as doing so will probably lead to more unwanted calls. Instead, hang up and file a complaint with the FTC here: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx
