Updating your social security number and TIN is an IRS Requirement. Failure to provide a Social Security Number or TIN will result in the hold remaining on your account.

If you entered your SSN and then received this message, please follow these steps below.  Your SSN will remain saved in the system. 

 

  1. Click “Mark As Read”.

The “Mark As Read” will disappear and a “Next” button will appear.

*Please see below if you do not have a “Mark As Read” button and cannot proceed.

 2. You should then click the “Next” button.

3. The rest of the steps are very easy!  You need to click “Accept”.

4. Then “Next” again.

5. Then “Finish”.
