This article explains how to set up a Dell C2422HE monitor, which is now recommended (especially for video conferencing). The monitor comes with a built-in pop-up webcam and speakers, and capability to connect additional monitors (through daisy-chaining) to this monitor.

This monitor has three different display input ports - DisplayPort is recommended for desktops (#4 below), USB-C is recommended for laptops (#5 below), though HDMI can be used as an alternative input (#3 below). Note: Daisy-Chaining is not available when using HDMI input. When using the USB-C input, you can connect a variety of peripheral devices to the monitor, such as USB and USB-C devices and Ethernet, which will connect to the USB-C device in use.

When using the USB-C or DisplayPort inputs, additional monitors can be connected to the device through a process known as Daisy-Chaining. Connect an additional monitor using the DisplayPort output on the monitor (shown as 6 above). The picture below shows an example of a monitor in Daisy-Chain configuration using a USB-C input and the DisplayPort output.
