A test question pool is a collection of questions which can be reused in an exam through either a question set or a random block. Question pools allow instructors to create a database of questions which can be reused in multiple tests. The questions in pools function similarly to questions in a test, except that they don't contain any point values.

This article is for instructors that wish to create a pool of test questions to reuse in their exams through a question set or a random block.

  1. Click "Course Tools" in the course menu (lefthand menu) of your HuskyCT course
  2. Click "Tests, Surveys, and Pools"
  3. Click "Pools"
  4. Click "Build Pool"
  5. Enter a name for the pool
  6. Click "Submit"
  7. Click "Create Question" and choose the question type you wish to add.
Tip: More information on creating questions can be found in the guide "How to Create a Test Question"

  8. Click "OK" once you are finished adding questions to the pool.

Creating a test, survey, and pool in this portion of HuskyCT does not deploy the assessment. Instructors creating assessments in this portion must deploy the assessment to HuskyCT in course content for students to access. See the guide on how to deploy tests here: How to Deploy a Test
