In HuskyCT, a combined course does two things:

  1. Creates a new parent course.

  2. Merges the enrollments from all child courses into the parent course.

A combined course in HuskyCT serves no other purpose than to combine the roster of two different courses into a single course. This structure looks like this. The children courses are indented underneath the parent courseImage Removed

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to combine two different class types for a single course (e.g., Lab and Lecture, Lecture and Discussion)?

No. Because enrollments for the different types of sections are the same between types, you cannot combine a lab and lecture section for a single course.

Does combining sections give me extra functionality?

No. Combining sections only merges two or more class rosters into a single shell in HuskyCT.

If my class is cross-listed in PeopleSoft, is this association set up automatically?

No. Course combines must be specifically requested using the HuskyCT Course Combine Form.
