This article is for faculty and staff who wish to import a calendar in Outlook that has been exported as a .csv, .vcs, or .ical file.

If you wish to view a previously-created calendar in another application, you may find it useful to export and then import your calendar. Importing calendars to Office 365 online under the UConn domain is not possible at this time.

Outlook 2013 and 2016

Importing a Calendar into Outlook from a .ical or .vcs file

  1. Open your Outlook Calendar.

  2. Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

  3. Select Import an iCalendar (.ics) or vCalendar file (.vcs).

  4. Click Next.

    Select file

    Using the file explorer window that opens find and select the calendar file.

  6. Click OK. 

  7. Select whether

    or add the items to your current calendar.

Importing a Calendar into Outlook from a .csv file

  1. Open your Outlook Calendar.

  2. Click File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

  3. Select Import from another program or file > Next.

  4. Select Comma Separated Values > Next.

  5. Select Browse

    >

  6. Select the desired calendar file using the file explorer window that opens.

  7. Click Open.

     

  8. After selecting duplicate handling options, click Next.

  9. Select Calendar. 

  10. Click Next.

  11. Make sure you have Import… selected.

  12. Click Finish.
