The ETHNICITY_DTL table includes the Hispanic or Latin Y/N field (HISP_LATINO).
This is not IPEDS ethnicity. IPEDS ethnicity encapsulates self-reported ethnicities into pre-defined reporting groups for official reporting.
The DIVERS_ETHNIC table contains the Primary Indicator if student identifies one of multiple ethnicities as their primary ethnicity. Students do not have to define a primary ethnicity.
