titleAdding the Webex Tool to your HuskyCT Course
  1. Navigate to where you’d like to add the Webex button for students within the Content menu in Ultra. Select Add Content>Content Market

  2. Click the + icon in the circle for the Webex Instruction Tool. This will add Webex to the course content.

  3. You can now select Webex to bring up the menu where you can schedule classes and edit the item to make it visible to students.

  1. Once the tool has been added to your class ensure the “Meetings” is enabled on the setup tab so that you can schedule meetings. Select the Schedule meeting button to begin.

  2. Enter in the Meeting Name (i.e. Math 1000), date, and time for the class. Select the Recurrence box if you’d like to setup a recurrence.

  3. Adjust the security rules if you’d like to. Generally they can be kept defaulted but if you find the need to lock the meeting down more you can.

  4. Audio and Connection Options allow you to change what happens when someone joins and leaves. We suggest using the “No Tone” so that it’s not distracting when someone joins and leaves the meeting. Also, muting people when they join by default helps keep background noise down in the Webex.

  5. Advanced Options is where the “Automatic recording” option lies. You can check this off so that recordings automatically start when the Webex starts.

  6. After scheduling the meetings, you will see them populate in the Webex Meetings Menu. When it’s time to start a meeting, navigate to this area in the course and hit start on the schedule class.
