To replace your initials with a profile picture follow the steps outlined below.

You can add your profile picture by clicking your name on any VoiceThread page. You may need to click on “Start Assignment” first.
From the Identities pop-up box, hover over select your name, and click Go to Manage Identities page.
On the Manage Identities page, click the pencil icon .
Next you can either upload a photo or take a webcam picture on the spot.
If you upload an image, click Save, and then Done.
Now your profile picture will appear in the commenting panel
next to your name.
Click on Remove to remove the auto-generated profile picture.
You are also able to change your display name by editing the Identity name box.
You are able to either upload a picture or take a live picture to replace your profile picture.
Click Save once finished.
Now the comment panel will be updated with your profile picture.
