SetupMake sure Image is selected. If edits to the screen capture must be made, i.e red boxes as depicted in the above image, Preview in Editor should be switched on. Copy to Clipboard may be switched on in order to copy and paste unedited captures. Capture Cursor is used to indicate the cursor, but is usually unnecessary. Time Delay should be switched on only if setup/prep is required to capture a pop-up menu. For example, if you right click on a desktop a pop-up menu appears. If you try and capture it using Snagit, the menu will disappear. The time delay allows you to capture that.
Capturing the ImageSelect Capture or create a hot-key by selecting “Print Screen” underneath the button (i.e, a key on the keyboard to initialize a screen capture without having to click the button) Drag over the area you wish to capture and you will have successfully captured an image. Note: If you would like to abandon a selected area, simply right click to exit.
