Publishing Videos
Go to Kaltura.
Click on the Guest drop-down (upper right)

Click Log in. Log in with your NetID and NetID password.

This article is intended to help UConn students and faculty download media from Kaltura. - Go to kaltura.uconn.edu
- At the top right, click Guest → Login and log in using your NetID credentials.
- The Guest label should now be changed to your name. Click on your name and click My Media.
- Click on the thumbnail of the media you would like to download.
- Below the player, click on the tab that says Download.
- Click the blue Download text next to one of the available formats based on your preference, and the content should start downloading to your computer.
- If you do not see a download tab, please contact the owner of the video and ask them to follow the guide below.
If the recording includes the webcam and the content/desktop, the download will only include the content and the audio. The webcam recording will not be downloaded. - Go to kaltura.uconn.edu
- At the top right, click Guest → Login and log in using your NetID credentials.
- The Guest label should now be changed to your name. Click on your name and click My Media.
- Find the media you wish to download, and click on the pencil icon at the right of the screen to Edit the media.
- Below the player, click on the tab that says Download.
- There is one option entitled Available Formats, click the check box named Source File so that the box is checked.
- Click Save
- Click Return to Media, which is right next to Save, to leave the edit screen and return to the viewing screen.
- You will now see a download tab that will allow you to download the media.

- After downloading your video file to your computer, open VLC Media Player
Download VLC here - Click on Media > Convert/Save [CTRL + R].
- Click on Add.
- Browse and open your video file.
- Click on Convert/Save.
- Under Settings, in Profile choose Audio – MP3.
- Hit Browse and give a destination file name.
- Click Start.

- Go to File → Export As → Audio Only
