HuskyCT Admins will happily copy your course content for you, but if you would like to perform your own course copydo it yourself, follow the instructions below. If you would only like to copy only some of your content to another course, please use these instructions instead.
Standard Course Copy
If you would like to perform the standard course copy that HuskyCT admins perform, follow the steps below. This standard course copy option is recommended for most users. If you do not know which instruction set to use, use this onePlease note that the course copy process will append content to your course. It does not overwrite or replace existing content. Therefore, we do not recommend that you use these steps a second time or you will end up with duplicate content in your course. To copy content after the course copy has been performed, use the Copying Content instructions.
Enter the course that has the content that you wish to copy.

Do not make any changes to your course until you see the blue banner or receive the copy complete email, or you could interfere with the copy process.
Once you complete the course copy, compare the destination course with the source course to ensure that all content was copied properly. It is much more difficult to redo a course copy once students have started submitting data.

Purpose
For a non-standard course copy, you will still need to follow the basic steps outlined in the standard course copy section above. However, you have some options regarding not copying specific parts of your course into the new course.
For the most part, unchecking a box on the course copy page (pictured above), will simply result in that item not coming over. You need to be cautious using these check boxes, as some of them can have unintended side effects. When performing a normal course copy, HuskyCT admins only use the "Announcements", and "Discussion Board" check boxes, and leave all the others alone. For that reason, it is usually not necessary to change the check boxes for any reason. However, if you find that you do need to change one of these check boxes for any reason, these are the ones that you need to look out for:
