This checklist will only work with iOS with iOS Devices that have either been purchased through been purchased through the following channels:

  • Apple

    Connection and CDW Punch-out in HuskyBuy

  • UCONN

    UConn Cellular Services

This article is intended for IT professionals, specifically to configure university owned iOS devices used by faculty, staff or students

The checklist below assumes that your iOS device has already been enrolled in JAMF.

Enrollment Process

Depending on the iOS version currently installed on your device, the order of steps below may differ slightly. You should review all the steps before starting the enrollment process.

  1. If your iOS device has not been previously set up, power on the device.

Note

At this point, you can continue working with ITS staff. A technician will place your iOS device in the appropriate group in ITS' Mac management system.

  1. Enable Location Services.
    Note: Enabling Location Services is important because UConn uses it to manage your iPad or iPhone.
