Finding and Editing a Recorded Meeting

  4. Click the blue Sign In button in the top-right corner of the window. Click here to see the button

  5. Enter your UConn NetID to sign in

    Sign into UConn Webex.

  6. Once you sign in, you will be brought to your home page. Click on

    1. It may take over an hour after a meeting has ended for a

    recorded meeting
    1. recording to appear in the My Recorded Meetings list. After you finish your Meeting, you will see that your Recording is "Generating." The length of this generating period depends heavily on how long your Recording is. If your recording is not available, check back later. If your recording has not appeared after 24 hours, send an email to

  7. In the list of recorded meetings, find the meeting you wish to download.

  8. Click the More button (•••) to edit or delete the Recording

    1. Select Edit if you would like to change the title or description, or enable or disable accompanying features. These features are outlined in the next section below.

  9. In the list of My Recorded Meetings, click the title of the recording to view the video.

  10. To download the video as

    an mp4 file, click on the downward-facing arrow.

    1. You will be asked if you would like to download both the video (.mp4) and the transcript (.vtt) or only one of them.

Sharing the

...

To share the video, click on the button that resembles three circles connected by line segments. Near the bottom of the popup window is a URL. Press the button that looks like two stacked rectangles so copy the URL in your clipboard. Clicking this button will copy both the title and URL, so you cannot directly paste this into your address bar without removing the text preceding the URL. This information may now be pasted anywhere you like.

If you select People in my company can view this meeting, anyone viewing the recording will need to login with their NetID and password. This is ideal for limiting access to a recording to UConn only.

Disabling/Enabling Features & Downloading of Recordings

You may chose choose whether you would like the Chat, Q&A, Polls, Participant List, and Transcript to be visible in the Recording. If you enable these features, they may be viewed alongside the Recording by those with who you share the link with.

  1. Find the Recording you wish to alter from the list in My Recordings.

  2. Click on the ellipsis button at the end of the row containing the Recording.

  3. Click Edit.

  4. From this pop-up window, you can enable and disable individual features shown along with your Recording.

Transferring Ownership of a Recording to Another User

  • Recordings can be transferred to another UConn user. Transferring the recording will make it appear as if the receiving account created the recording; they will have control over the recording and the sender account will lose access.
  • To have a recording transfered, please reach out to avt@uconn.edu.

We can't currently do this because the Classic View has been discontinued

  1. By default, your Home page will be set to Modern View. To access the option you are looking for, you must switch to Classic View.
    1. To access the Classic View, click on the Classic View button in the top right corner next to your name.

  2. Once you are in Classic View, click on My WebEx along the top banner.

  3. Choose My Recordings from the list that appears on the left.
  4. Find the correct meeting based on the title, date, or duration.
  5. Click on the drop-down menu to open more options.
  6. Choose Re-assign.

  7. Enter the name of the recipient into the search bar to find the correct user.
  8. Click on the bubble next to the recipient name.
  9. Click OK in the bottom right corner of the pop-up window.

  10. The recording will now appear in the recipient's My Recordings list (in Classic and Modern View) as if they made it themselves. You no longer have edit privileges; however, you may still view the recording if the recipient shares a link with you.
