Streamline the process of finding courses that fit your location, schedule, and required mode of instruction.

Students can search for courses in the Student Administration System. Doing so can streamline the process of finding courses that fit your location, schedule, and required mode of instruction.

Tip

Under Additional Search Criteria, students can select the mode of instruction.  If If you are searching for courses by modality (in-person, online class, hybrid, etc.), this filter can help you find available courses more quickly.   1. Log in

     to

     to your Student Administration account.

    Navigate

    The Student Administration System will then open to the 

    Main Menu

  2. Click on

     Self-Service

    the Manage Classes button

  3. Select Student Center. Your Student Center will appear.

  4. Click the Search link at the top left of the page or the SEARCH FOR CLASSES button at the top right. The Search for Classes page will be displayed.

  5. Select the term you would like to view.
  6. Select at least two search criteria.

    Note
    The Campus field is required.
  7. Show Open Classes Only is checked by default. Uncheck the checkbox to include closed classes in your results.

  8. AnchorAdditionalAdditionalUse Additional Search Criteria to narrow your search results.
  9. Click New! to search for classes by General Education Content Area requirements.
  10. For more information, next to the Course Description Keyword field, click the How to search by Content Area link.

    Note

    Below are examples of how you might go about using Day of the Week in your search criteria:

    • Include Only These Days - If you choose this option and Mon, Wed and Fri are checked, the results will display all classes that have a class meeting pattern which includes Mon, Wed AND Fri, although other days may be included in the class meeting pattern as well.
    • Include Any of These Days - If you choose this option and Mon, Wed and Fri are checked, the results will display all classes that have a class meeting pattern with either Mon, Wed OR Fri included, although other days may be included in the class meeting pattern as well.
    • Exclude Any of These Days - If you choose this option and Mon, Wed and Fri are checked, the results will display all classes that do not have a class meeting on either Mon, Wed OR Fri, although other days may be excluded on the class meeting pattern as well.
    • Exclude Only These Days - if you choose this option and Mon, Wed and Fri are checked, the results will display all classes that do not have a class meeting on Mon, Wed AND Fri, although other days may be excluded on the class meeting pattern as well.

      Click the Search button to view the schedule of classes. The results display a list of classes meeting your criteria.

    Note
    The resulting sections may not all display on one page. Check the number of records displaying and advance as needed or click View All Sections.
  11. Click the select class button to add the class to your enrollment shopping cart.

  12. Click the Section link to display more details about a class. 

    Note
    The section link includes the Class Number in parentheses, which can be used to add classes to your enrollment cart.

  2. You will then be directed to the Browse Course Catalog section of the Manage Classes page. From the menu on the left-hand side of the page, click Class Search and Enroll

  3. To search for classes, enter a keyword (e.g., course name, subject, topic, etc.) in the Search for Classes field. 

  4. Click the search button (shown below). A list of search results will display.

    1. Alternatively, click Additional ways to search below the Search for Classes field.

    2. Scroll through the drop-down menus for Available Subjects, Catalog Number, and Typically Offered to search for items to select.

    3. Once you have made your selections, click the search button. A list of search results will display.

As you search for classes over time, the Favorites and Recently Viewed drop-down lists below the Additional ways to search link will display.

  • Favorites: Your most frequently-viewed classes. 

  • Recently Viewed: Your most recently-viewed classes.
