Donating funds from a University account (e.g. 4-Ledger Revenue Account) to create a Foundation Account - this is not allowed. The Foundation may only accept charitable donations, University revenue may not be used to set up funds, this is addressed in CT State Statute 4-37g.
Charitable contributions intended for endowed funds are not subject to the one-time gift fee. An endowed gift of $25,000 will generate approximately $1,000 per year based on the 4% spending allocation.
