LCI Program Responsibilities

  • Approving laptops for signing out

  • Verifying requestors are in fact LCI Students

  • Giving laptop applicants necessary links and documents

  • Approving requests for extensions on laptops

  • Contacting users Share LCI loaner request information with LCI students (s.uconn.edu/stamfordlcilaptoploan)

  • For each submission:

    • Verify requestor is LCI Student.

    • Determine loan period length (default is end of current semester).

    • Approve laptop for loan by replying to the ticket with approval.

  • Contact user in the event they are non-responsive to the ticketing system.

  • Reporting laptops Report laptop missing if they can’t be collectedto UCPD if it is not returned.

Stamford ITS Responsibilities

  • Maintaining Maintain laptops.

  • Scheduling a Schedule laptop sign-out once approvedReminders .

  • Support laptop if user has technical issue.

  • Send out reminder through ticketing system that a laptop is due

  • Collecting laptops when due under normal circumstances

  • Supporting laptops if a user has issues

  • Reporting when a laptop is turned back in via ticketing systemabout due date.

  • Collect laptop from student upon return.

  • Report return of laptop in ticket and close our ticket.
