If Use this function if a report runs for too long , and WebFOCUS may “time out” and close the prompt. To avoid this, you can run the report under “Deferred Status”, “times out” or if you want to run a report and need to log out of WebFOCUS before the report is complete. In these situations, a report can ”Run Deferred," which places it in a Que, queue and allows you to perform other tasks or exit WebFOCUS while the report is generating.
Deferring a Report
Right-click on
thethe report.
From the right-click menu, click Run Deferred.
Enter values for parameters, if required.
Modify the Deferred Report Description, as desired.
Click OK.
The Deferred Report Notification displays.Click the Deferred Report Status link, as desired.

From the Deferred Report Status view, you can view your deferred report, as well as options to
View, Save, modify Parameters, or Delete.
