...

  1. Uninstall the application.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Download and install the program again.
    1. If your NetID is not working and you are logging in to the correct domain, reset your NetID password. 

Login issues:

  • Ensure the user is logging into the correct website and onto the correct domain with the correct password.
  • Be sure you can log in on other UCONN sites, such as netID.
    • Do a password test on the NetID page.
    • If the NetID page indicates that there is anything out of sync, reset your NetID password.

Personal Computers:

  • If you receive the error Display protocol for this desktop cannot be displayed. Please contact your system administrator, try:
    • Checking if it works in Online.
      • If it works here, but not on the VMware Horizon View client, then there is an issue with the firewall or the VMware installation.
    • Logging off the computer and logging back on.
    • Restarting the computer.
    • Using AnyWare Desktop online.

Failed to Open Connection, Connection Failed, or Failed to Open a Connection Errors

you are using a personal Mac but have not set up anything with the UConn network (Direct Access or RDP), it is recommended to use an external drive as an intermediary to save files from Anyware. You can save to the external hard drive from AnyWare and then save to the Mac from the external drive. You cannot move directly from Anyware to a Mac’s internal storage, unlike with Windows.
