This article is for those that have recorded a Teams meeting and would like to share it with those that are outside of the organization or those who did not attend the meeting.

Recording Teams meetings are saved as video (.mp4) files that can be viewed in Microsoft Stream. Note: if the file is downloaded, it can be opened in any video player. Microsoft Stream is integrated into Microsoft 365 and the video files can be shared like any other file.
Only the owner of the meeting recording can update permissions for the recording.

Visit Microsoft Stream and find the

recording.
To ease your search, you can filter by video type. Click on Meetings in the filter choices.You do not need to open the video to access the sharing tool.

then Share.

The video file will open in a SharePoint tab in your browser.

Or, you may open the video and then click Share in the right left. This Share button resembles the Share button in other 365 apps.
Just like in other 365 apps (Word, Excel, etc.), click on the settings gear that is withing the Copy link box.
In the list that appears, choose the appropriate privacy level.
Be sure to choose whether viewers should be able to Edit attributes of the video, or if they should have view-only access.
Each privacy level offers an expiration date.
If you choose the Anyone option, you are given the opportunity to add a password to the share link. Be sure to share this password with your recipients.
Click Apply.
Enter the names or email addresses of the people you want to share the file with.
Click Send to send an email to the users you shared with or click on Copy link to receive a link that you can send to others.
